Comparative and superlative

Comparative: -er. Superlative: am …sten (after the verb) or der / die / das …ste (before a noun, with adjective endings). Most short adjectives with a, o, u take an umlaut. Unlike English, there's never "more" or "most" in front: interessanter, am interessantesten.
