Objektpronomen (me, him, her, us, them) gibt es nur in einer Form – kein Unterschied zwischen Dativ und Akkusativ: Call me (ruf mich an). Give me the key (gib mir den Schlüssel). It's for them (es ist für sie). Auch in Kurzantworten: “Who's there?” – “Me.” (Wer ist da? – Ich.)
Reflexivpronomen: myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves.
you und they stehen für „man“: You can't park here (hier kann man nicht parkieren). They say it will rain (man sagt, es wird regnen).
there is / there are = „es gibt“ (etwas existiert); it bezieht sich auf etwas Bekanntes:
There is a café near the station. It is very good. (Es gibt ein Café beim Bahnhof. Es ist sehr gut.) – There are two problems (es gibt zwei Probleme). – There was an accident (es gab einen Unfall). – There has been a mistake (da ist ein Fehler passiert). – Is there any milk? (Hat es Milch?)
